From 1st April 2020 until July 31st 2020, the DVSA extended any due MOTs by 6 months. 
An MOT due to expire in April would be extended to expire in October. The industry is anticipating a doubling of people requiring an MOT from October, this is potentially going to cause issues for customers booking MOTs. The government, DVSA and industry are asking is that those with extensions begin to get their MOTs carried out before their expiry date, to minimise the impact and ensure MOT availability for everyone.

Original MOT Expiry = April + 6 Months  WILL be Due OCTOBER
Original MOT Expiry = May + 6 Months Will be Due NOVEMBER

Original MOT Expiry = June + 6 Months Will be Due DECEMBER
Original MOT Expiry July + 6 Months Will be Due JANUARY 2021
